Vampire facelift
Platelet Rich Plasma treatment is a new, extremely effective method used in aesthetic medicine as well as in surgery and orthopaedics. In aesthetic medicine plasma is mainly used to delay the ageing process and improve the condition of the skin. On the ground of orthopaedics and surgery, plasma is used in the treatment of joints and difficult to heal wounds.
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), is derived from the patient’s blood. Blood is taken just before surgery and then, as a result of a special process, the plasma is separated from the blood cells.
The plasma obtained is several times thickened so that the platelet count is usually 4-5 times greater than that in the blood being drawn.
Concentrated plasma contains proteins and growth factors which, when activated, stimulate cellular rebuilding thereby leading to tissue regeneration.
The reconstruction process is completely natural as the plasma is completely biocompatible.
